Financial Accountant (Maternity Leave 9 month contract)

The Role:

We require a skilled Financial Accountant to join our Head Office Finance Team based in Westport, Co Mayo..  Reporting to the Finance Director, you will have broad responsibilities across financial and management reporting in both the Retail and Hospitality sectors within the Group.

Relevant Skills/Experience:

-          A highly skilled qualified accountant (3+years PQE) and experience in a similar role.

-          Strong excel and system skills.

-          Ability to work on own initiative, multitask and meet challenging deadlines.

-          Strong organisation, report writing, communication and interpersonal skills.

-          Travel may be required.

Main Duties:

- Management of financial monthly reporting with strong focus on margins.
- Analysis of reports to advise on cashflow, budgets and forecasts of the business.
- Providing commentary on the financial figures of the business.
- Ensure consistent application of financial controls across all aspects of the reporting  function.
- Compile and publish weekly management reports and sales data.
- Reconciliation of General Ledgers and Balance Sheets.
- Monitoring company cash flow in relation to ongoing construction project.
- Submission of VAT Returns, and review of all revenue filings.
- Management of ongoing and new business contracts.
- Manage well established team of Accounts Assistants.
- Assist and support Senior Managers and Cash Office Personnel.
- Various adhoc financial projects as they arise.
- Supporting in relation to adhoc operational issues.
